On Wednesday May 23rd, we hosted a webinar outlining how EFMD Global Career Services can support schools career services in placing students internationally. This webinar is geared towards career services professionals who are looking to expand or begin the career services repertoire for students are their business school.
Participants gain an overview of Highered, EFMD Global Career Services, which can help students find global opportunities. Highered is a unique addition to the career services you already offer students welcoming relevant internships, trainee and graduate jobs from EFMD Company Members on a daily basis.
We welcomed two guest speakers to share their unique perspectives. Joining the webinar was Craig Petrus, Executive Director of Career Services, Warrington College of School, University of Florida and Pratik Pattnaik, Student, Warrington College of Business, University of Florida – who gained graduate job with Yara International using Highered. Craig expressed that from a career service perspective the Highered platform “has been a great site for us, it has been a great site for our students been a great opportunity for us to increase awareness about job outside of the United States for both our domestic students as well as our international students. ”
From a student perspective, when Pratik was asked how he first heard about Warrington Highered Global Career Platform and what was your user experience, he stated “The first time I learned about this platform was through an email sent through my career coach. It was followed up by a detailed discuss one-on-one with my career coach to figure out which positions matches my profile. After that the site is very user friendly, easy to navigate, easy to sort by company, location or by field. ”
