Professor Amber Wigmore Alvarez shared insights on effective navigation and advancement of a global career.
Invited by the University of Liverpool Management School, Professor Amber Wigmore Alvarez, Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) of Highered EFMD Shared Career Services, hosted a “Pitch Perfect” masterclass workshop for students on the Master in Management programme on January 30th.
The “Pitch Perfect” workshop was designed to equip students with various skills that will allow them to differentiate themselves from other candidates in selection processes. During this interactive and practical session, Professor Wigmore Alvarez provided critical perspectives on how to craft an effective elevator pitch, a vital step toward advancing one’s career by leveraging executive presence, seeking feedback and linking networking with personal branding.
“It was a pleasure to teach this masterclass to Master in Management students. I hope they feel that they are now able to effectively manage the next steps toward advancing their global careers,” commented Professor Wigmore Alvarez following the session.
In addition to the customized masterclass conducted for the University of Liverpool students, the Highered Masterclass Career Journeys series has followed Prof. Wigmore Alvarez’s global footsteps, engaging and inspiring students and alumni at Audencia Business School (France), Toulouse Business School (France), Centrum PUCP (Peru), BI Norwegian Business School (Norway) and the European University Cyprus (Cyprus), in addition to the thousands of students and alumni from the EFMD network who have been following the monthly webinar series since 2018.
