The Global Leader Talent Summit, as a part of the EFMD Deans & Directors Conference, co-hosted by Highered, EFMD and China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), concluded in Shanghai on 21st January 2019.

 

Hundreds of Deans and Directors from over 160 top-ranked business schools in 50 countries and 20 business elites from world-renowned companies, such as Geely, Alibaba, Dell, and CreditEase, participated in the Summit. The Summit provided an exclusive platform for both sides to discuss and exchange unique insights into talent acquisition and placement on a global scale.

 

The Summit commenced with a welcome speech by Erik Spade, Chief Commercial Officer at Highered, followed by speeches introducing EFMD and Highered by Eric Cornuel, Chief Executive Officer at EFMD Global and Dr. Amber Wigmore Alvarez, Chief Innovation Officer at Highered respectively.

Eric Cornuel delineated the development of EFMD and its close link to China, stressing the tremendous value created by Highered in connecting EFMD accredited schools with companies that demand top talent. Eric also encouraged companies to leverage Highered platform to build and strengthen cooperations with leading business schools regarding talent sourcing and development.

In the afternoon, Mingjun Li, President of CEIBS, gave the keynote speech, Gao Wang,  Associate Dean of Executive Education Programme at CEIBS, hosted the plenary, and representatives from business schools and Chinese companies shared insightful views on topics of the globalization of Chinese companies, the impact of the changing world economic order and the development trend of business schools.

A dinner banquet at CEIBS marked the end of the Summit. In the private and informal setting, deans and directors, together with business leaders developed their relationships and further discussed relevant topics in the world of talent.
