On November 22nd, Dr. Amber Wigmore Alvarez, Chief Innovation Officer of Highered EFMD Global Career Services, moderated the debate on the business value of gender diversity policies held by the American Chamber of Commerce in Spain (AmChamSpain).
Four great speakers participated in the discussion: Daniel Carreño, CEO (Spain & Portugal) of General Electric, Beatriz Faro, Regional President IDM Internal Medicine of Pfizer, María del Carmen Quintanilla, Honorary Member and Permanent Congressman in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and former President of the Equality Commission of the Spanish Congress, and Clara de Miguel, Director of Communications, Media and Technology of Accenture.
During the roundtable discussion moderated by Amber, the four speakers talked about the different programs carried out by their companies to promote diversity in the workplace. All agreed that companies have to maintain the diversity of their workforce to be able to increase talent retention and effectiveness. Clara de Miguel highlighted that diversity, acting as a source of creativity and innovation, has contributed significantly to Accenture’s success.
