Meet the Speakers

Marko Bervanakis

Marko Bervanakis (B. Electrical/Electronic Eng., Dipl. Education. VUT & Melb. University, Aus.) is currently based in Croatia within ERICSSON Nikola Tesla d.d. Croatia. In the past – he has also worked in other Global Telecoms companies (i.e. both within the EU & in Australia) in various R&D environments, Engineering Customer Support Services, as a technical trainer-educator and innovation coach. Along the way, he has also worked as a Science & Mathematics teacher in both primary & secondary schools. In turn, he is currently involved in piloting and scaling up Ericsson’s Connect-To-Learn solution (i.e. which brings educational resources & access to developing countries) as part of Ericson’s corporate social responsibility initiative.

 

Amber Wigmore Alvarez, PhD MBA

Considered one of the foremost references in Employability and the Future of Work on a global scale, Amber Wigmore Álvarez was recently appointed Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) of Highered EFMD Global Career Services.

Amber brings more than 8 years of experience from the world of global career services at top-ranked IE, where she was until most recently Executive Director of Talent & Careers, managing a team of more than 37 talent professionals who delivered services to 6,000 students and 65,000 alumni globally, increasing satisfaction on behalf of students, alumni and more than 4,000 corporate partners and organizations.

As a Doctor of Economics and Business Science, Amber’s research is focused on University Social Responsibility (USR) and business ethics. She holds an International MBA from IE, as well as a BA in Hispanic Studies and International Economics from Wheaton College (Norton, Massachusetts), where she received a largely feminist education, which has driven her on her mission to empower women in their careers.
